Multitouch exploration of Antwerp’s hidden fashion archive.

These days museums have large parts of their collection locked away in huge archives.
The Fashion Museum of Antwerp (MoMu) transforms this unfortunate situation into an asset by digitally showcasing the hidden treasures of their archives to the public. Thanks to a huge multitouch video wall located on the sidewalk just outside the museum, passersby can dive deep into the hidden collection. designed the interactive UI that presents text, images and video in the hidden collection in a dynamic stream. Via linked metadata spanning designers, colours, styles and much more, it’s possible literally go on a journey in the world of fashion. The size and setup of the installation allow multiple users, from children to pensioners, to browse and explore at the same time.

We were delighted that this project was awarded a Henry Van De Velde Label in 2015.
